A general contracting and construction management firm. We produce architectural, structural and mechanical drawings, then build and supervise the work through to completion.
Kwesi Kyei Ltd was founded by Elijah Kyei Ofori in 2020. We serve both the public and private sector as a general contracting and construction management company. Our emphasis in civil engineering design and construction is on site improvements, concrete work, masonry, carpentry, and interior remodelling.

General Building Construction
As a general contractor we carry the whole build: setting out and excavation, foundations, reinforced concrete frame, blockwork, roofing, services first fix and second fix, and finishes. Work is run by a full-time site supervisor reporting to a project manager, with materials and plant procured through our own supply chain.
Civil Works
Civil works cover the ground a building sits on and everything around it — clearing and grubbing, cut and fill, drainage runs and culverts, retaining walls, hardstanding, kerbs and access roads. On developments with several units this is usually the first package on site and the one that determines whether the rest of the programme holds.
Civil Engineering Design
Our design work covers architectural layouts, structural calculations and detailing, and mechanical and drainage design. Producing the drawings ourselves means the buildability questions get answered before they reach site rather than as a variation halfway through the frame.
Project Management
Project schedules are developed in-house using Primavera. We handle contractor administration, subcontractor coordination, procurement of materials and equipment, and the reporting that lets a client see where their money and their programme actually are.
Construction Management
Construction management puts our team on site as the client's agent: sequencing the trades, running the site meetings, inspecting work before it is closed up, and enforcing the safety procedures. It suits clients who have their own design team but need someone accountable standing on the slab.
Interior Remodelling & Finishes
Interior work is where a build is judged. We handle screeds and plastering, wall and floor tiling, suspended and decorative ceilings, fitted joinery, painting and decorating, and the final fit-out. Existing buildings are remodelled with the same sequence and the same supervision as new work.
Renovation
We repair, strengthen and modernise existing buildings, including structural remedial work and full refurbishment.

Founding Director / CEO
Elijah Kyei Ofori founded Kwesi Kyei Ltd and leads the company as Founding Director and Chief Executive. He directs the firm's general contracting and construction management work across residential and commercial projects in Accra, and sets the standard the company holds itself to on site.

Chief Finance Officer
Gameli Sena Amengor is Chief Finance Officer at Kwesi Kyei Ltd. He is responsible for the company's financial management, project cost control and procurement oversight, working to keep projects delivered within budget.

Can you handle the drawings as well as the building?
Yes. Civil engineering design is one of our six main services, and we regularly carry a project from drawings through to handover under a single contract — design, construction, supervision and project management together. Liberty Spirit Office and Apartments is being delivered that way.
Where do you work?
Greater Accra and the surrounding areas. Our current and completed sites include Amasaman, Paraku Estate, Apollonia City at Oyibi, and Prampram.
What kind of work do you take on?
General building construction, civil works, civil engineering design, project management, construction management, and interior remodelling and finishes. Alongside those we cover site improvements, concrete work, masonry, carpentry, water and sewerage, substations, renovation and quantity surveying.
Do you work for private clients, or only public contracts?
Both. We serve the public and the private sector, from a single home to a multi-unit development.
Are you classified for government work?
Yes. We hold a Ministry of Works and Housing classification, shown in full at the bottom of every page on this site.
How long have you been building?
The company was founded by Elijah Kyei Ofori and has been building in Accra since then. We are a unionised company, and every project is supported by full-time field supervision.
